Delete inside the app
The fastest way to delete your account is inside By the Whey:
- Open Profile.
- Choose Safety & Legal.
- Open the Safety tab.
- Select Delete my account and confirm both prompts.
Deletion begins immediately. If you used Sign in with Apple, the app also asks Apple to revoke its authorization.
If you cannot access the app
Email support@thecurdnerd.com from the email address connected to your account. Use the subject “By the Whey account deletion.” We will verify account ownership before deletion.
What is deleted
Your authentication account, profile, tastings, comments, likes, follows, saved cheeses, blocks, uploaded profile image, and uploaded tasting photos are permanently removed. Reports may be anonymized or retained only when necessary for safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
What happens to catalog contributions
Approved factual cheese catalog information may remain as part of the shared catalog after personal attribution is removed. Pending submissions associated only with your account may be removed.
Timing
In-app deletion begins immediately. Verified email requests are normally processed within 30 days.
