Red Butte began as a collaboration with Harmons Neighborhood Grocer during Hatch Chile season. The cheese was such a success that Harmons suggested it should be available to everyone. Named after Red Butte Garden, a botanical garden at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, this cheese reflects our deep Utah roots.
